Been a while since I entered a photograph in any contest. The photo-award is however for the photographic content of ReminiscingVisions.com and whilst new photos are taken everyday the selection here represents a selection of "good ones" from the various genres.

First place award for "Fire" photography weekly photo contest from photoaday.net. This photo was conceived much before it ever came to due to the lack of a macro lens... once it was shot it became an instant favorite and when the contest came up it was an obvious choice!

First place award for "Close-Up" photography weekly photo contest from photoaday.net. The site no longer exists but it was the photo has become a personal favorite . This "killer" pup is actually a feared Pittbull Terrier...

First place award for "Black & White " photography weekly photo contest from photoaday.net. This photograph was inspired by the film "We Were Soldiers Once" but for it to be internationally recognized a simple theme was adopted unlike the original intended flagged backdrop.

I applied for this shortly before starting this section mostly because I wanted more awards to show on the page! It took a bit of time for the people of hooverwebdesign to reply but when they did it was good news!

Is this an award? No not really but I was deeply dissapointed for the result of last months contest entries and had to get something to compensate. Hours were spent making ReminiscingVisions.com w3c compliant and I am very proud of it

10 weeks ago if anyone had told me that this site would ever win a webdesign award I would have suggested that he/she should have a little visit from the men in white uniforms. At the time I was reading up on basic html composing (trying to figure out how to insert images in html pages) and trying to create a simple web-gallery for my photos... guess I took it a bit too far with that but all's well that ends well!

Not an award per say but in a world of so many search engine "specialists" and God knows how many traffic/customer attracting techniques the ability to get ranked so high just after 10 weeks of the sites existence is, for a simple yet original page extremely rewarding. Maybe content is king after all!

The very first award we receiced... To be honest when I entered the site into the award I was only trying to get some traffic. However Profoto awards are quite prestigious and no matter what anyone says, it's good to know not all you have worked for goes unnoticed
